Tuesday Getaway

I ditched her last weekend over the TV show taping session. From Saturday to Sunday... Well, she went out of town also with her dad, so the guilty feeling is not too much.

I took a half day off and my idea for the lunch date turned out to be very great, with big laughs over her suggestion on how should I have my own 'relationship' happiness (daang!! my kid is only 8 this January) ; her smitten faces over a 'boyfriend' story, and... the argues we had over the vest jacket she spotted at Zara. She wanted a fluffy thick vest jacket which was for me is a big no for Jakarta... *and I should pick something good that I could wear also, rite?* Instead of went to Zara Kids, we ended up at Zara TRF. The vest jacket is to be shared ;) -mommy rules-

Ended the day with a very good body massage at home and we dozed at the babies' bedtime. It is good to have our getaway sometimes on the weekdays when the places is not crazy as a weekend :)

Sunday Journey

My last visit was almost 3 years ago and this is the place I always go to heal my feelings. Yeah, to heal the anger, the pain and the shame. Alone. I never asked someone to company me there, as I enjoy my loneliness and the silence of the place, the prayer of the pilgrims, the cool breeze and finally the moment that healed my own pitiful parade.

But this time, I decided to ask Vivienne as a company. She's the most precious one who owns my life, and as big girl, sure she would manage to behave at such place. And, yes, they have the Sunday School for kids, also.

So there we were, started our Sunday journey to The One Who Owns The Life ( and having fun, of course!)

Breakfast at Puncak Pass, enjoying the cool breeze and the sun pouring its shine on our face...

.. and enjoyed the view from our table ..

And, with our full tummy and rosy cheeks after a morning sunbathing, we off to Lembah Karmel, the place I mentioned. After more than 2 years, nothing changed much.

On our way back to Jakarta, while she was sleeping I decided to stop at Melrimba to have our lunch.
And what we got there? An outdoor activity, and become a fox that flew :P 3 rounds of Flying fox!

We left the spot with joyful feeling, and yes, as I thought, took us 5 hours to get home. But to spend the Sunday in this way with my precious? Everything was paid off!

Long Weekend in Indonesia - Day 3 ... and the Finale

Was too tired for blogging our day three, I compiled in one post.

For the day three, basically we didn't do many things. I stayed home for my closet's door fixing as it's been for one month I went to bed with a view of one closet's door gone. So annoying!
And, my oven didn't work well and kinda disturbing. Broken oven = no baking food = disaster!

After everything had been done, rush to my shop to finalize a birthday cake for one year old baby. Coral Joy (how lovely name). Mom asked for Tinker Bell thingy. So, must be in white and soft colors. I picked baby yellow for the cupcakes sugar frosting and all white cream for two stages cake.
Love doing sweet things, and here they are

Vivienne busy with "Working at Mommy's shop" campaign, started with scooping the ice cream (she did very well), sent the menu to the customers, and.. helped me with the cupcakes!

Gotcha! You had one cupcakes and the sugar left on your nose, babe!
The party was held at Putri Duyung Resort, Ancol. As the baby is Stella's -the best bestfriend- niece, we spent the afternoon there. Fun! Lots of balloon, stickers (yeah, they ended on my room's walls, EVERYWHERE) and Barney's songs! ~I love you... You Love me... lalalala~

Family Picture
Went home with tired body, I still couldn't go bed early.

The morning after, it's Easter!
A tradition in our family to spend Easter Lunch together. Instead, we had Breakfast Lunch at Social House.

My breakfast, Egg Benedict

Long Weekend in Indonesia - Day 2

Bogor...
How about Bogor for tomorrow, Vi?
"sounds good, Mom"

We left home at 6 o'clock in the morning, heading to Kebun Raya Bogor (Botanical Garden). Less than one hour we arrived there and once we arrived around Istana Bogor (the Palace), we saw there were reindeers. Stop!!

And it took me two rounds driving to get the entrance of Kebun Raya Bogor.. Hah! Yeah, I'm so not familiar with Bogor. Got an email and a phone call from my friends a nite before to give me directions, the food places to go, but still.. I missed the entrance!

Us at the entrance, the first huge tree we saw
And, there we were, inside the Garden. How beautiful, how fresh the air, how lovely the breeze. Things we cannot find in Jakarta. Now we confused, which part of the garden we should take. Take left! Go to the Palace!
Walk and walk... not too far, but Vivienne asked for Oreo. Now we have the advertisement of Oreo....

After a long walk around, Vivienne got tired and asked for home. Home, we only spent 2 hours there?
Well, it's her day.. whatever she asked, then we do it!

I'm a tinkerbell, in the forest...
Vivienne with Presidential Palace faaarrr at the back...

Long Weekend in Indonesia - Day 1

Election Day on Thursday, Good Friday, Saturday, and Easter. Looonggg Weekend for Indonesia!

Vivienne asked for a time in Grand Indonesia's Playground. "3 jam aja, mom" (only 3 hours, mom).. 3 hours?? And what should I do there?
Aaah.. there's a hip place inside Harvey Nichols. Instead of had a window shopping around the mall, I'd prefer for a quite nice time.

Got a seat at the corner, facing Bunderan Hotel Indonesia. Book, camera and ciggies were on the table, I ordered a glass of red wine and Chicken Quesadillas.

Blackberry was off from the network, so I really concentrate on reading... and the view!
One thing distracted me so bad was, there's a bunch of policeman, standing at the corner of the roundabout and they stopped many cars. Wondering why they do that, and haven't got the answer (hah!! I was alone and to who I should ask?). FYI, as my driver license been expired since 3 years ago, so I am a veryyy good driver to follow every signs *grin*

And another view from my seat.. Cleaning-guy :D the left guy even took off his helmet for the shot purpose.. hehe..

Time to pick Vivienne up! Changed her wet shirt and... "I want Burger King".. Planned to take her back to Social House for another meals, but.. junks is in the first place for her today. Ok, BK, girl!

Butterfly wants the french fries, Mom!

Thanks to Leica for the wide angle ;)
