Long Weekend in Indonesia - Day 3 ... and the Finale

Was too tired for blogging our day three, I compiled in one post.

For the day three, basically we didn't do many things. I stayed home for my closet's door fixing as it's been for one month I went to bed with a view of one closet's door gone. So annoying!
And, my oven didn't work well and kinda disturbing. Broken oven = no baking food = disaster!

After everything had been done, rush to my shop to finalize a birthday cake for one year old baby. Coral Joy (how lovely name). Mom asked for Tinker Bell thingy. So, must be in white and soft colors. I picked baby yellow for the cupcakes sugar frosting and all white cream for two stages cake.
Love doing sweet things, and here they are

Vivienne busy with "Working at Mommy's shop" campaign, started with scooping the ice cream (she did very well), sent the menu to the customers, and.. helped me with the cupcakes!

Gotcha! You had one cupcakes and the sugar left on your nose, babe!
The party was held at Putri Duyung Resort, Ancol. As the baby is Stella's -the best bestfriend- niece, we spent the afternoon there. Fun! Lots of balloon, stickers (yeah, they ended on my room's walls, EVERYWHERE) and Barney's songs! ~I love you... You Love me... lalalala~

Family Picture
Went home with tired body, I still couldn't go bed early.

The morning after, it's Easter!
A tradition in our family to spend Easter Lunch together. Instead, we had Breakfast Lunch at Social House.

My breakfast, Egg Benedict

Long Weekend in Indonesia - Day 2

Bogor...
How about Bogor for tomorrow, Vi?
"sounds good, Mom"

We left home at 6 o'clock in the morning, heading to Kebun Raya Bogor (Botanical Garden). Less than one hour we arrived there and once we arrived around Istana Bogor (the Palace), we saw there were reindeers. Stop!!

And it took me two rounds driving to get the entrance of Kebun Raya Bogor.. Hah! Yeah, I'm so not familiar with Bogor. Got an email and a phone call from my friends a nite before to give me directions, the food places to go, but still.. I missed the entrance!

Us at the entrance, the first huge tree we saw
And, there we were, inside the Garden. How beautiful, how fresh the air, how lovely the breeze. Things we cannot find in Jakarta. Now we confused, which part of the garden we should take. Take left! Go to the Palace!
Walk and walk... not too far, but Vivienne asked for Oreo. Now we have the advertisement of Oreo....

After a long walk around, Vivienne got tired and asked for home. Home, we only spent 2 hours there?
Well, it's her day.. whatever she asked, then we do it!

I'm a tinkerbell, in the forest...
Vivienne with Presidential Palace faaarrr at the back...

Long Weekend in Indonesia - Day 1

Election Day on Thursday, Good Friday, Saturday, and Easter. Looonggg Weekend for Indonesia!

Vivienne asked for a time in Grand Indonesia's Playground. "3 jam aja, mom" (only 3 hours, mom).. 3 hours?? And what should I do there?
Aaah.. there's a hip place inside Harvey Nichols. Instead of had a window shopping around the mall, I'd prefer for a quite nice time.

Got a seat at the corner, facing Bunderan Hotel Indonesia. Book, camera and ciggies were on the table, I ordered a glass of red wine and Chicken Quesadillas.

Blackberry was off from the network, so I really concentrate on reading... and the view!
One thing distracted me so bad was, there's a bunch of policeman, standing at the corner of the roundabout and they stopped many cars. Wondering why they do that, and haven't got the answer (hah!! I was alone and to who I should ask?). FYI, as my driver license been expired since 3 years ago, so I am a veryyy good driver to follow every signs *grin*

And another view from my seat.. Cleaning-guy :D the left guy even took off his helmet for the shot purpose.. hehe..

Time to pick Vivienne up! Changed her wet shirt and... "I want Burger King".. Planned to take her back to Social House for another meals, but.. junks is in the first place for her today. Ok, BK, girl!

Butterfly wants the french fries, Mom!

Thanks to Leica for the wide angle ;)

Another Visit to Makassar

Another visit to Makassar, not for fun, but to do some job. I used to visit Makassar for a holiday, but now, I should work for the new MAMA. Tired, but it is fun, though..

I love doing these things, it is my passion and when you do your job with your passion, nothing can replace it.

Here are some other snacks from MAMA Makassar:

Biji Nangka

Kue Ku

Kue Pelita
(Brown sugar sauce at the bottom, topped with Coconut batter)

Congratulation, koh Oey!

Dear Koh Oey,
Congratulation for your new kopitiam. I went there, had a Lontong cap go meh, Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Wiener Melange (as you write on the menu: coffee with vanilla ice cream). Ya, Koh Oey, I was so hungry and craving for coffee.

Koh Oey,
your kopitiam completed my afternoon, after met up with a close couple friends with their 4 months baby girl. We had a great conversation, catching up the gossips and laughing out loud there. With the old songs you've choosed as the background, my feeling was so great -including the "gelas-gelas kaca" ;) -
Baby was happy there since nobody smoked. For a smoker maybe kinda hard to have a coffee without smoking, but thou, for family with the kids, absolutely a nice place!

Koh Oey,
I will drop by next time for a breakfast, as your kopitiam starts very early at 7 in the morning. Hope to see you there, koh Oey!

my warm regards,
Cik Tan

The new MAMA Makassar

New place of MAMA, at the old house which used to be our playground. Retouched by Victor Jonathan, my brother in law. He did a very good work. Used to be a spooky house, with huge backyard. Now, beautiful and proud to say, it is the first cafe in Makassar with beautiful old building and 'peranakan' style.
Welcome you to MAMA Makassar

I love the round corner

At the right side is our house

on the second floor is my Dad's office, stairs to the office

How do you see the night ambience?

Aha! this one is our childhood piano..

I remember this stair, we poured powder to make it slippery and... woo hooo!! Slide! Slide!!
